I'm raising £2000 to Help Rigatoni fight FIP

Story

Two weeks ago, little Rigatoni started acting like he just had a bad case of the flu. We thought a little rest and some vitamins in isolation would do the trick, allowing him to relax and get his strength back when getting over a little bug. We couldn't have been more wrong.

Days turned into a frightening nightmare. Rigatoni wasn't improving; he was getting sicker. Anti-nausea meds didn't help. The vet couldn't find a clear cause, but then neurological symptoms began to appear. Something was off, and our hearts sank as we saw him slipping.

We rushed him back, desperate for an answer. The vet treated him for an ear infection and brain inflammation, starting him on antibiotics and steroids. We waited, we hoped, but four agonising days later, his neurological symptoms still grew worse.

The Diagnosis

Another trip to the vet, more tests, and then the devastating truth: Rigatoni had Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP)—the "dry" form, which attacks the organs and nervous system and presents very differently to what we have experienced before in the 'wet' version.

FIP used to be a death sentence, but thanks to medical advancements, it's not anymore! Rigatoni was immediately hospitalised, starting on the life-saving FIP medication, and within the crucial first 48 hours, we saw a miracle: he is responding to treatment!

Now we need your help!

Rigatoni is in private foster care now, being nursed back to health, but his fight is far from over.

The medication that is saving his life is incredibly expensive, and he needs to complete a rigorous course of treatment, along with crucial, expensive blood tests to monitor his progress and ensure all is on track and improving.

We’ve maxed out our resources covering the emergency hospitalisation, but we cannot stop now. Little Rigatoni has a second chance at life, but it depends entirely on our ability to fund the next several weeks of treatment.

Please, open your heart and donate today. Every single penny goes directly toward Rigatoni's life-saving FIP medication, hospital bill and follow-up care. Help us give Rigatoni the happy, healthy future he deserves, he has a whole lifetime ahead of him!
