Last week my biggest fear came true. The cancer has come back, and it has spread to different parts of my body. Just last year I finished my breast cancer treatment and I was so happy that it was finally time to rebuild my life. I am 31 years old; I am very active with lots of plans and dreams and the diagnosis has completely turned my life upside down.

My first treatment in 2019 was a tough and long journey, which consumed all my time, money and energy. You can imagine the relief and happiness I felt once I was ready to start again living, working and doing what I love. During the treatment time I have planned and dreamed so many things and in the last months I had finally the time and energy to start turning them into a reality.

I was determined to apply everything I have learned in healthcare from my work and my personal experience as a patient to give back and make a healthcare a better place. As you can imagine I was so busy working and rebuilding my life and health that the news about the cancer return and spread completely paralyzed me.

Unfortunately, reimbursed treatments cannot help me in my case, but there are medications and treatments that have proved to be very efficient in cases like mine, but they are very expensive and absorbing. As you can imagine all my savings and resources were exhausted during my last treatment since I could not work during this time and as a person running my own business I didn’t have a chance to receive any type of help or public support. Although reimbursed cancer treatment did not help me, I recovered thanks to privately available therapies and medicines, and I believe that this time it will also be the case.

I’m going for a treatment to private centres in Poland, Germany and Lithuania, where I will have a series of different treatments, therapies and medication. On average it takes 7h a day and include things like dendritic cell immunotherapy, virotherapy, ozone therapy, Cytokine (CIK), targeted drugs, infusions, diet and supplements. On average it costs £6k a week plus medication and logistics, and that’s the reason I need your help with fundraising. I already had diagnostic tests and we know which drugs, methods and substances can remove the cancer in my case.

That is why, my only option is to contact you and ask for help. Time is crucial here, because the symptoms are getting worse and worse, the tumour has spread to my bones and lungs, which makes breathing very difficult and reminds me that I can't wait.
