Story

Sarah as she is now called, was the Lifeboat serving at Lytham St Annes on the North West coast for many years, the crew at Lytham being awarded two bronze medals for bravery aboard her during this time. After leaving the RNLI she has been owned by several people and over time has become run down as it is a huge commitment to keep an old wooden boat in prime condition. Now under new ownership by genuine Lifeboat enthusiasts, the long, hard and very expensive works to restore her to her former glory are underway. The aim being that when she is once again safe to take to sea, she can be used for education about the RNLI and water safety, runs afloat for people struggling with mental health and also to give an opportunity to keep wooden boat building skills alive, possibly by allowing her to be worked on by apprentices. Thank you for any support you can give to help us complete this immense task.
