I've raised £20000 to help expand and adapt 4 year old Tahlia's home so that it's made more accessible for her undiagnosed condition. All donations go to Tahlia!

Tahlia is a gorgeous four year old girl who is trapped in a 6-8 month old child's mental state and body. Tahlia is fully undiagnosed, she suffers from a very severe unexplained global decay (the general term used to describe a condition that occurs during the developmental period of a child between birth and 18 years. It is usually defined by the child being diagnosed with having a lower intellectual functioning than what is perceived as 'normal'). Tahlia's development is around that of a 6-8 month old child. Although she has undergone multiple scans and genetic testing, Tahlia is no closer to finding an answer. This has made Tahlia's mother feel like the hospital are close to giving up on investigating further. She also suffers from a very rare form of epilepsy that causes breathing problems when she fits as well as scoliosis, however the severity of the scoliosis is unknown, Tahlia and her mum are waiting to take X-rays.
Her condition means she is confined to a wheel chair and is dependent on her mother to feed, wash and bathe her.
The hospital she was born at have made an admin mistake and are now claiming she’s never had a paediatrician as an outpatient despite them having clinic reports from every appointment she’s had with her paediatrician. Until she gets referred to a new paediatrician she isn’t able to have hip and spine x-rays to access how she’s doing.
Currently, the front garden measures 8.5m x 2.3m and the back garden, 7.6m x 2.90m. Both gardens are paving stones, with some being slightly uneven- which is an issue for moving Tahlia's Bee chair outside. In order to make the garden more accessible, the family would like to place artificial grass in replacement for the paving stones so that Tahlia can make use of the outdoor space to play. An addition to this would be to contribute a ramp in place of the steps which lead from the backdoor into the garden so that Tahlia's chair can access the garden easily.
Tahlia's bathroom is also small and inadequate, hence
the plan would be to knock out the wall and make it into a wet room with a hoist system to get her in and out of the bath. Therefore the walls would need to be completely gutted
Tahlia's local council have been of very little help with contribution of funding for the wet room.
Therefore, as supporters of Tahlia and her family, it would be best in investing in great quality products to ensure that the bathroom would be perfect for Tahlia's needs.
The buggy found to be perfect for Tahlia is from a German company, with the buggy coming to a total of around £2195. Accessories are sold separately but Tahlia would only need the rain cover and foot muff for winter time.
Any donation would be gratefully accepted.
