I've raised £5000 to help a decent, honest, hardworking tradesman get on his feet after having all his tools stolen.

Jamie, our hardworking, loyal installer has had his van emptied. Power-tools, tools he's had since a kid, a survey drone, fixings - the lot. He's a subcontract tradesman and the kit pays his mortgage and food for his wife and kids - no wonder he's absolutely distraught today.
These ratbags target the small guys because they have quality, well-maintained kit. Often they have nowhere to store their tools so they are left in the van. The criminals are rarely caught and the tools are never seen again.
The emotional strain when everything you depend on is gone is huge. This is a decent, honest boy who lost his dad young, but works hard, pays tax and looks after a young wife and boys.
Insurance can't cover what he can't remember; he'll only find what's missing when he needs a tool he doesn't have. Try writing a list of everything in your garage from memory!
So who bats for these little guys?? No one apart from us. That's you and me. We can do something to help.
They couldn't afford a honeymoon but he's saved money for their first holiday which he will now have to use. I've given him a £1000 gift but it won't go far.
I have set up a Just Giving page for this lad so that those of us more fortunate can help him onto his feet again.
Even just a little donation would make a difference. Thank you.
