I've raised £5000 to Re-build Jonathan's family home, destroyed by hurricane Irma when it hit the Dominican Republic.

Jonathan's family home was completely destroyed when hurricane Irma hit the Dominican Republic. While we are grateful beyond words that our family are all safe and un-injured, it is devastating to see the family home in pieces and to know that his wonderful elderly parents and his brothers are now effectely homeless.
What was a simple family home, filled with love and laughter is now a dangerous, uninhabitable shell. We were there just a few weeks ago enjoying the sunshine and watching our children delight in time spent with their grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Now there is such devastation:
We can't imagine the horror, heartache and helplessness now felt by his mum and dad, unable to re-build their home. Not knowing where they are going to live.
The Domincan Republic is an unpredictable country. In many ways, one of extremes. When things are good, it is idyllic. However, when things go wrong, there is simply not the support and infrastructure needed to provide enough help quickly, or even at all.
We hope that by crowd-funding we can get the project started more quickly, getting builders on site and starting to help get his family re-homed and safe for the future.
Thank you all in advance if you are able to help in any way xxx
