This page has been created to help my little niece by allowing her parents to buy her a freestyle libre system and patches which is a flash glucose monitoring system for school and trips as it is not on the NHS and on the pricey side,
I will tell you a little bit about Victoria and how this came around to creating this page, Victoria is a sweet , loving, kind hearted little girl who loves playing at the beach attending reception, and is so excited about starting school but she believes she is different to other children as she gets pulled out of class to to be tested as she has type 1 diabetes back in 2013 when she was 13 months she became very poorly after 3 trips to the doctors and 3 times being told it was just a viral infection Victoria had to be took to the hospital in an ambulance which after tests and so on she was finally diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and that her levels were so high that she was lucky to still be alive. So now you know the history this is how the page came about she recently told her mother that she is getting better and won't have to do this for much longer , as you can imagine this was heart breaking for her to hear so she began searching what else was on the market and discovered this monitoring system this device will allow teachers to just scan her through any clothes and see her levels with out pulling her into the office to do the standard prick so it would be more practical for the teachers and stop making her feel uneasy as she's pulled out to the office as well as putting her mothers mind at ease as she will be able to see the results of the scans on her mobile.
