I am Dr Galyna, born in Donetsk, Ukraine, moving to London 18 years ago. I worked as a psychiatrist in the NHS for several years and am now an aesthetic doctor. I am married to a true Englishman and have a beautiful 9 month old baby daughter.

The current conflict started in 2014 with the invasion of Crimea and Donbas. This is when I had to help my mother evacuate from Donetsk, leaving her home, friends, business and life with one small suitcase. Transitioning to life in London has been hugely challenging for her. Now hundreds of thousands of families (mainly women and children) find themselves in the same position. Many haven't made it to the border but for those that do, I am determined to assist them in every way possible.

EVERY £ raised by "Help 4 Ukrainian Mothers & Children" will be used to help refugee families with food, water, shelter, medical supplies and most of all a safe future. Additionally they will be supported with visa advise and educational needs. So far we have provided medical supplies and generators as well as essential items for a babies orphanage and a maternity hospital. Additionally we have sponsored 3 families so far (including 5 children) providing them with accomodation and financial support.

Unfortunately the current crisis is still in its infancy.....PLEASE PLEASE HELP....every £ raised will make a real difference to a mother and child truly in need!

Update - at last the family I am sponsoring in the UK have finally got their visas and are expected to arrive in the UK on 20th May. The funds you have helped raised will be used to support them with food, clothing and living expenses whilst they look for employment! It will be so exciting to finally see them.....Dr Galyna
