Story
My name is Darren Sims (aka Daz) I am the founder of Daz's Rock 4 Charity and have been asked to help Annie to get a TDX power chair, this chair is £6970 (up to date quote with exact specification required) and we will help Annie and her family reach the target as soon as we can. Thank you Bristol Mobility Centre LTD Simon and colleagues for their help
Message from Annie's mum Daniele
We have twin daughters Liz & Annabelle, aged 28. Annabelle has Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy for her this means she is a fulltime wheelchair user and reliant on us/carers for all her needs.
Annabelle requires a new power chair, so that she isn’t always reliant on being pushed by others in her current manual chair and will have more independence.Sadly there is no statutory duty on anyone to provide this type of equipment, and all charities that I have approached only offer funding to 18/25 years. It would appear that adults with additional needs over the age of 25 are not expected to need updated/ different equipment as their needs change.

6 years agoWe are nearly at the target, so many people have all pulled together, we at Daz's Rock 4 Charity are extremely grateful as I know Annie and her family are also. At the time of writing this £776 is left to reach the £6970 required for the new TDX powered wheelchair which Annie needs. Please keep sharing and every pound helps and is much appreciated. The chair has been ordered, big thanks to Simon and all at Bristol Mobility Centre Ltd for their help. We would like Annie to receive before Christmas. Thank you all xx
