I've raised £3000 to Help Fund a Wheelchair For Caleb!

Caleb is a happy, funny 9 year old boy who loves video games, playing monopoly, playing outside with his friends and spending quality time with his family.
However Caleb suffers from several debilitating disabilities and health conditions that drastically effect his everyday life. These include Behçet's Syndrome, Acute Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis, Hypermobility Syndrome, an Auto Immune Deficiency Disorder, Visual Impairment, Severe Asthma and life threatening food intolerance's.
To see Caleb in the street you would not know it but he is in constant and severe pain which is both physically and emotionally draining, he suffers in silence trying to live a normal childhood.
At 9 years old Caleb is now growing into a confident and independent young man; however because of his conditions he is finding it harder and harder to keep up with his peers, join in with all of the activities and get up to all of the mischief a boy of his age should be doing.
Along with many prescribed daily medications, including several pain killers, Caleb has a daily physiotherapy routine to strengthen his extremely weak muscles and help prevent further degeneration of his mobility.
SCA Happy Faces Day Care are raising money to help Caleb's transition from a disability pushchair to a specialist wheelchair. Caleb has met with a fantastic company that tailor make wheelchairs to fit the exact needs of each child. He has been measured and fitted for a wheelchair that will support him now and throughout his teenage years.
Purchasing this custom build wheelchair will allow Caleb to take charge of his own condition and his own life. This specialist wheelchair will enhance Caleb's ability to move around more freely in his family, educational and social life. It will give Caleb the freedom to maneuver himself around when his joints seize and he is unable to walk, reducing his reliance on adult support. It will also enable Caleb to participate in school and family activities; play outdoors with his friends and to feel more independent, equal and inclusive with his peers.
