UPDATE 18.05.18

It is with a heavy heart i have to say that dearest Cody passed away yesterday. The scan revealed a serious abscess which had infected his spine, muscle and colon, he was in a lot of pain and the chance of successful treatment was slim. His fosterer and the lady who runs the rescue had to make the heartbreaking decision to let him go. Everyone involved with the Rescue is devestated. We thank you all for your kind donations, it allowed the The Little Rescue the peace of mind in knowing that they did all they could. The Rescue is still left with a huge vet bill as well as a broken heart and we will all be trying to find ways to raise the money required which runs into the thousands.

We would be so grateful if people would continue to donate to this page so will leave it open for a while as every penny helps the rescue continue its valuable work

Codys story

The Little Rescue have rescued and rehomed dogs from both the UK and overseas for many years.

Cody came from a terrible, dangerous life on the streets of Romania. This beautiful boy had half an ear and his tail missing and life was a constant battle. The Little Rescue kindly rescued Cody and brought him to the UK to have a chance at a happy life. He went to a wonderful foster home with a lady named Ali and her family and he really began to flourish. Unfortunately due to his advancing years and a possible health issue it was decided Cody should stay as a Little Rescue foster dog as it was unlikely he would be adopted. Cody settled into life with his new family who decided to keep him with them for as long as he needed to be.

Unfortunately Cody has now had to be admitted to the Royal Veterinary College for an MRI scan and blood tests, they have been quoted £3-3,500 for this. He has severe back pain and is unable to put any weight on his legs. The Little Rescue are a very small operation based in Hertfordshire and every penny is a struggle to raise. Cody finally has the life he always deserved and saying goodbye to this wonderful boy without doing all they can would be heart breaking. Currently they are unable to afford the tests and possible treatments.

UPDATE 16.05.18 - Cody has been moved to Newmarket to see a specialist and is currently having the scan as it could no longer wait, the rescue still do not have the funds to cover his vet bills

Please, even if its a small amount, please help us to raise some money to help Cody. This poor dog had a hellish life but you would never know to meet him. He is the sweetest boy, gentle and loving. He has formed an incredibly strong bond with his foster family. Please help us help Cody.
