When you have battled the demons in your head, it is very difficult to maintain that fight when you face the prospect of being discharged from the inpatient unit and having no house to go home to!

Debbie galliantly fought for her right to become a woman. She has also embraced the 'pay it forward philosophy' and has helped others by sharing her story on the local radio.

Unfortunately Debs experienced a lot of psychological trauma during her journey and she is now in an inpatient unit bravely battling to regain her mental health.

Throughout all of her physical and mental health difficulties she has worked as an IT consultant and took very minimal time off work. 2 months ago she lost her job (due to emotional illness) and her car (which is essential for her to get around due to the DBT she suffered as an unfortunate side effect of her operation). The local authority are due to put Debs' house on the market in the spring (even though she has not yet missed one mortgage repayment).

Please show Debs that there are people out there who care. Help us to save her home. This money will also give her a year's breathing space to help her to get back in to work and to be able to pay her own way once more!

Whilst in hospital she is rediscovering her joy of photography. I have no doubt that she will be able to make a very successful career as a photographer once she is home: But to achieve this, she needs a home to come back to!!!!
