    Story

After travelling South East Asia, we have settled in Cambodia, after seeing there is help needed with the dogs in cities and rural areas. Many dogs are neglected, malnourished, have disabilities and also abused at the hand of humanity.

A lot of dogs live in communities which are on road side. They often head off in search of food or a mate, which sometimes results in collisions, resulting in death, or broken limbs/paralysis.

You have heard of the dog meat trade in countries like South Korea, China and Vietnam, but many do not know of the extent of the problem here in Cambodia and export into neighbouring countries. Some owners sell their dogs for around $20, or swap for a new cooking pot. These dogs are then crammed into small cages on the back of a bike and start their journey to the unknown. In Cambodia, the locals believe that eating a black dog's meat will cure all internal illnesses, along with many other beliefs. The dogs are usually beaten and tortured in preparation to their death, as this has been said to make the meat taste better. We have seen for ourselves parts of the dog meat trade, but will be attempting to get more footage in the future, to educate others. Neutering and spaying the dogs is something that is priority here, the less dogs, the less dog meat available. But recently, their has been a sudden rise in population, which is worrying for what is to come for these beautiful beings. Your donation will help us to take dogs to the vets to be spay/neutered.

We have been going into rural locations, to provide help for the dogs in need. Flea and tick treatments, deworming and feeding is something we do on a regular basis. We have also been educating in local schools about animal welfare, how to approach/handle a dog correctly, why they should respect their family dog/s and explain the diseases and how to avoid them.

Your donation will go towards; medical supplies, food, vet treatments, and to our rescued dogs.
