💙 A Brother, A Father, A Fighter
I'm raising £5,000 to support my younger brother Emrys (33) in his fight against brain cancer. This fund will go towards complementary alternative treatments, specialist consultations, and — when he's able — a short holiday with his boys to begin healing emotionally after the hardest months of their lives.
🧠 What Happened
On April 26, while at rugby training with his two sons (ages 9 and 11), Emrys collapsed after a sudden seizure. Just two days later, an MRI confirmed our worst fears: he had a brain tumour.
Emrys underwent his first brain surgery on May 22, but within 10 days, I had to rush him back to hospital with a severe infection — later suspected to be meningitis. After 10 painful days in hospital, we received the devastating call: they hadn’t removed all of the tumour.
He bravely faced a second operation on June 26, after which we were told the tumour is an astrocytoma — and that full removal was not possible.
🌱 What Comes Next
Emrys now faces radiotherapy beginning in early August, followed by chemotherapy. These treatments are vital, but we’re also exploring complementary and alternative options to support his immune system, reduce side effects, and give him every possible chance at recovery.
He’s determined to fight — for his life, for his sons, and for the future he still dreams of.
👨👦👦 Why Your Help Means Everything
Emrys has been a devoted single dad for the past 8 years, raising his two young boys with love, strength, and resilience. He's the kind of dad who never misses a match, always puts them first, and carries their world on his shoulders.
Now it’s our turn to carry him.
Your donation will help fund:
Alternative/complementary therapies and consultations
Travel and treatment costs not covered by the NHS
Nutritional support and healing resources
A short restorative trip for him and his boys, to make beautiful memories and find peace after this ordeal
💛 If You Can Help
Every donation — big or small — makes a genuine difference. And if you’re unable to donate, you can still help by sharing this campaign with your network. Love, support, and visibility matter just as much.
We believe in Emrys. We believe in the power of community. And we believe that with your help, we can give him the best possible chance.
Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts.
