This is Fatimah’s story:

My name is Fatimah, I am 18 years old and I was trapped in an abusive household. I was being forced into a marriage I did not want, and I had no way to protect myself. I have never had a job, a phone, or financial independence, and I am scared for my life and my future.

Thankfully I have now been able to get out of the house and the situation and despite everything I have been through, I am determined to continue my education and build a life where I can feel safe, supported, and independent.

Right now, I am facing costs associated with starting over ,including accommodation, essential living expenses, travel, food, study materials, and other necessities that come with living independently. As I am estranged from my family and no longer have the support system many students rely on, these costs have become incredibly difficult to manage alone.

Any support, no matter how small, would help me have some stability while I focus on my studies and rebuilding my life. Donations will go towards helping me afford safe accommodation, basic necessities, and the everyday costs of becoming independent.
