Story

Hi everyone and thanks for taking the time to read my page,

I have a 2 year old mischievous little boy called freddie,

Freddie was born at 29 weeks after a horrible pregnancy.. born with cysts and bleeds on both sides of his brain I got told there would be something wrong as he grows, well a year on and meeting no milestones tests were done and i received a Letter explaining Freddie had 4 limb cerebral Palsy. My world got turnt upside down with not knowing what the future held for my son.

well 2 years on and freddie has had a tough journey hes only recently learnt to sit and he can now commando crawl which is his means of getting about.. he legs are alot worse then his arms he cant stand on his legs for long as he suffers from tremors, we have a standing frame to hopefully strengthen his legs up and a panda sitting chair to help his posture. Weve recently been given a walker but he hasnt yet had much joy with it as his feet Aren’t great and his legs cross over. His brain is so sharpe and hes super intelligent and is forever asking me to help him walk.. i hold him up and he walks across the room crossing his feet and legs as he goes.. he has 3 older siblings and is always so desperate to join in which yes he can to a certain extent but cant run around and chase them like they do.. my one wish in life would to be able to make my baby walk he would enjoy life to the max if he could! It would be brilliant to see him up and about and with a smile on his face instead of crying on the floor to join in with everyone..!

Iv heard about this Procedure and would 1000% want to make it happen if i can for him.

Selective dorsal rhizotomy (SDR) surgery is a procedure that treats muscle spasticity caused by abnormal communication among the brain, spinal cord, nerves and muscles. It corrects muscle spasticity by cutting the nerve rootlets in the spinal cord that are sending abnormal signals to the muscles.

This in time will allow my son freddie a chance to walk and have a normal life with me and his brothers and sister, The treatment is around the £35-40,000 mark there is a doctor in the USA that would be ideal for this to happen along with everything else this comes to around £50,000 +

Im a fighter and a trooper a mum and a dad I will do anything to make sure he has the life he should if you please can give what ever you can and help my boy walk ? I cant bare him sitting at the window watching the others bounce and play around the garden and he can only just watch its not fair...

I will post updates etc as they happen I can only thank you for taking the time to read this.... every little helps xx

Thank you.....
