I've raised £5000 to Support Hannah and our family getting care

Just over a month ago we had our little girl Anwyn and took her home from hospital full of smiles. A few days later Hannah developed a nasty infection that resisted antibiotics, and over the next 3 weeks her health deteriorated rapidly suffering from pain, nausea, dizzyness, blinding migranes and being on the edge of blacking out. She began to really struggle to get through the day as it got worse and each visit to the Doctor meant more medication that didnt help and more worry. We asked our midwife, GP and health visitor for help, but were told nothing else could be done, and resorted to the hospital as things got so bad.
The hospital began treating the infection, but more problems began, crippling pain from suspected nerve damage from her C section left Hannah doubled over, and a few days into her hospital stay she began violent seizures every 15 minutes, she was left unable to feed or hold our little girl and not able to see our other kids as we had to call on the little family support we had to look after them.
Getting to understand what was going on medically has been a real trial, but hopefully we are getting there. It has taken it’s toll physically and emotionally, on both of us. On top of concerns for Hannah’s health and not getting to see our other kids, the help we have is running out. I’m having to be with Hannah in hospital to provide the emotional support to get through this really scary time, as well as feed and care for our newborn.
Unfortunately I don’t get paid if im not in work, and we have the added worry of ‘will we have enough to get through the next month’, let alone somehow manage any after care costs if we can get Hannah home and she continues to need help.
The amount we’re asking for is a total shot in the dark, but begins by helping us know that we can cover the basics this month and anything above the total will go somewhere towards needing any additional time off to help, or additional costs like potential aftercare or childcare while she recovers.
A lot of friends have offered their support and asked what they can do, and the moral support and positive messages really do help, but if you feel like you can give a little to help us through this awful time it really will make things a little more managable and take a little pressure off.
