My calling in life is to be a blessing to people and I would like your support in building a toilet facility in the local village in Ghana to help me achieve my dream.

This project will be implemented at Akumadan Community, which is a village about sixty miles away from Kumasi to Techiman and is the second largest City in Ghana.

The people of Akumadan are mostly farmers who grow tomatoes, cocoa, and other crops which make the community very busy. The community has all types of age groups totaling about 10,000 people and the largest groups are children, females and youth.

There are a few government primary schools and one senior High School in this community and none of them has proper or good toilet facilities except local ones therefore the majority of the children use the nearby bush and roadside as toilet facilities.

Also, because of the economical constraints in the community, very few houses have the adequate toilet facilities. The majority of them have pit toilet facilities which are not the best for the children and the aged ones. Because of the landscape of this community whenever it rains erosion takes place. As a result, the rain and the erosion washes away all the faeces into the streams and waters that the people use for drinking, bathing and washing purposes which then causes them to be effected and suffer from cholera, diarrhea and other skin diseases.

The project is expected to achieve the following outcomes:
1. Teach and train the people to stop using the bush and road sides as toilet facilities
2. Reduce the reported cases of cholera and diarrhoea and other diseases
3. Develop a healthy, decent and tidy people that practice good basic hygiene and public health.
