Harry was diagnosed with a chromosome 6 deletion at age 2. The deletion means he was born with spinal musculoskeletal deformities that have made his young life a battle. He is such a strong little boy who has fought hard not to let his difficulties get the best of him or hold him back.
Harry has used a Kaye walker to help him since the was 3 but after his scoliosis surgery walking any distance can become tiring or painful very quickly.

Harry is now 6, at school, surrounded by children who are all moving at a much faster pace than he is physically able.

Since having his 1st spinal surgery for scoliosis in June 2016 his mobility needs have changed and a further emergency surgery in June 2017 to fix a loose screw that had broken through the skin and treat an infection caught during the 1st surgery.

After the 2nd surgery Northampton NHS trust deemed him disabled enough to gain a wheelchair for help. Now, recovered after both surgeries he is able to crawl around our home he no longer qualifies to use a wheelchair provided through wheelchair services and we are needing to provide him with something suitable ourselves. He has been allowed to continue to use the chair until we provide him with an alternative.

We have found a fantastic company in London, 'GBL Wheelchairs' who have just sent us a quote for a wheelchair and we would love to order it for him soon to help him gain some independence and be able to push himself along and go out and about to explore the world around him without boundaries.

We want to help Harry go far! As far as he can possibly go in life and a suitable pair of wheels to help him get there right now would be amazing!!
A new wheelchair is just the start for us and the list of equiptment and theraphy needs for Harry is ever growing......
A supported car seat, weekly physio and hydrotherapy are also now essential to help ease pain/discomfort and keep him as mobile as he can be.
