Story

Holly is 18 years old and suffers from a condition called Complex Regional Pain Syndrome which she has had for 3 1/2 years. It is a chronic pain condition that has left her with no feeling in the lower right leg, chronic knee pain and balance problems so she can’t stand unaided and is now wheelchair bound.

Before this she was an active dancer, swimmer, gymnast and enjoyed karate. She is desperate to beat this condition and get back to doing the things she enjoys, improve her quality of life and not be dependent on others to help her.

She is fundraising to pay for equipment and treatments that along with a lot of hard work from her will give her the opportunity to achieve her goals. The equipment and treatments are a gait trainer so she can stand and walk. Being able to stand will help build her confidence and potentially weight bare and walk again independently. Splints for her ankles and legs, serial casting on her right foot due to tightened ligaments and foot drop and neuro physiotherapy. The cost of these is about £5000.

On 17th August 2020, Holly will start #100milesin30days using her wheelchair to cover 100 miles in just 30 days to help raise funds for her equipment. She is a very determined young lady when she puts her mind to something she feels strongly about.

Please donate any amount small or large to give Holly the opportunity to walk and dance again. Every donation will we greatly appreciated. If you can’t donate PLEASE SHARE THIS PAGE AND HOLLY’S STORY.

Thank you
