    Story

In the early hours of the 28th March, 14 Cameroonian and 2 Antiguan Nationals were rescued at sea, 16 nautical miles North of the Caribbean Island of St Kitts. They were saved from a capsized vessel, dangerously overcrowded, without even the most basic sea survival equipment on board. A human trafficking attempt gone wrong. The capsized vessel had set off on a 200 mile journey from Antigua heading for a US territory, with 32 passengers onboard.

Official figures state there are currently 637 Central Africans on the island of Antigua. Many being Cameroonian Nationals who have fallen victim to counterfeit tour companies charging as much as $6,000 USD to arrange 'immigration logistics' and charter flights to the island, from where the promised onward journey has failed to materialise. These people have fled the central African state of Cameroon, where currently a vicious civil war is raging. This war has displaced hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians and killed thousands.

Now is the time we can all play a part in ensuring their lives in Antigua are safe. That despite having only the clothes on their backs, they are provided the right to basic sanitation, housing, food and water. They do not need to live in fear anymore, together we can help them.

Unlike the night of March 28th, no more innocent people need to be lost on the ocean in search of a new life.

Please help us fundraise by giving anything you can.

We are incredibly grateful and thank you.

We are so grateful to everyone who has supported us and donated to this page. Last week we returned to Antigua to meet with many of the Cameroonian Nationals. There are now around 150 people still on the island, 4 babies have been born in the last month, and thanks we were shown was incredibly special, and we want to pass that on to everyone involved. Attached below is some of the provisions we supplied, including essential food, sanitation, cleaning products and baby items.
