Story

Hi, my name is Ian and from 12th April to 9th May, I will be working with the amazing people at Food For All UK and with Elżbieta Racibor to help the Ukrainian refugees.

With some friends we have taken donations from the UK to a small refugee shelter, near the border, run by Elżbieta (Ela) and volunteers.

Since arriving in Przemyśl on the 16th April, I have helped to move over 120 refugees and volunteers to where they need to be and provided food and water to Ela’s shelter.

To date your donations have gone towards buying over PLN 2,000.00 worth of food and over PLN1,000.00 spent on diesel.

I have been part of a convoy delivering food and donations to a church, a temple and an orphanage in Lviv. I brought back 8 refugees to Poland with me; 37 refugees brought back in total.

Another trip into Ukraine is planned for 27th April and I will continue to help refugee children and their families seek shelter in Poland.

With your continued support, I will be able to bring over 300 women and children to safety, as well as helping to feed thousands of refugees awaiting transport to host families across Europe.

All funds will go towards the cost of food, fuel and other items required for the comfort of the refugees. Any funds left at the end of the trip will be donated to Food fo All UK And Ela’s shelter.

Food For All UK has already established a kitchen on the Polish/Ukrainian border and now, due to high demand, need to build a field kitchen within Ukraine itself, plus a delivery food van for the refugee children and their mothers who are attempting to flee the war.
