    Story

I've had the pleasure of teaching Harry Addy this year. He is a truly special boy who deserves as much help as we can give him. That's why I've decided to ask for sponsorship for my attempt to run a 50 mile race on 16th September known as the Chiltern Wonderland, a distance that I've never run before. This is a letter that Harry's mum wrote about him. It's really touching and explains beautifully why I wish to raise money to help Harry:

"Harry was a happy, funny boy, who loved splashing in puddles, getting muddy, swimming, playing with his friends and just loving life.
But Harry and his family's lives were turned upside down when they found an 8cm tumour in Harry's spinal cord when he had just turned five.
Harry underwent two major operations to remove the tumour. However they could only remove 80% of the tumour. He woke up from the operations unable to walk or even move. After 21 days in Addenbrookes he was allowed home. He still couldn't move and had to have a bed down stairs. It took him months to learn to walk again. But his determination and strength got him through.
After already going through more than anyone deserves, when Harry was 6 he and his family were dealt another devastating blow, after an MRI scan of Harry's remaining tumour, they were told the tumour was growing rapidly, and has spread to his brain.
Harry is currently five months into an 18 month course of chemotherapy treatment.
When a child is receiving this kind of treatment the average cost to the family is £600 a month.
Any money raised will go to help with the cost of living while going through the treatment, the endless hospital trips, treats for Harry to keep him going, making amazing memories for him and his three sisters who miss out on so much and transforming Harry's bedroom with a WWE theme!
Harry is such a happy, strong, brave little boy who needs as much support as possible-let's help him get through this together-any amount how ever small or big will make a big difference."

Final update for all you wonderful people who supported me, I've given all the money raised to Harry's mum Melanie, ready for her to buy everything that Harry wants to make his dream wrestling bedroom! In total I gave Melanie £1119 and a few odd pennies. This is from cash donations and from this page minus the money just giving take for using their service. Thank you all so much, one happy Harry & one proud me!

I've taught Harry for all of his time in Year 1 at Stalham Infant and Pre School. It's been a lot of laughs but also incredibly tough to watch him and family suffer. That's why I want to help Harry by doing something that will push me to my limits; running 50 miles in a day.
