Story

I am raising money to support my voluntary non-profit community project Helping Homeless Women - North East. The project helps homeless women and vulnerable women in short term accommodation with sanitary products and period care packs. The donations are given to charity hostels and refuges In the area.

I started the project because one of the issues is women don't get free sanitary products or if they do they may be given one pad to last the whole period. This as you can imagine makes life very difficult and uncomfortable. Some of the women end up using a piece of cloth that they have to keep washing out or toilet paper which is deeply upsetting as no-one should have to do that. I help to ease that problem with donations of sanitary pads, tampons, panty liners that we take for granted.

You can get more information from my Facebook Group "Helping Homeless Women - North East. I am always looking for volunteers to help with period care packs and donations.

The money raised will go towards:

* buying sanitary pads, tampons, panty liners, new knickers, hygiene products

* ladies pyjamas for vulnerable women in refuges

* transport to collect and deliver donations to charities and projects across the North East of England

* storage to store the donations.

* providing free pamper days offering haircuts, manicures etc.

Please help by contributing to this worthy cause.
