Story

National Citizen Service (NCS) is a four-week program aimed at 15-17-year-olds to make a difference in their local area. Our team has decided to raise money for Helpful Hounds.

Helpful Hounds is an organisation dedicated to training assistance dogs for young people and providing owner trained programmes within the counties of Dorset, Hampshire and Wiltshire.

Helpful Hounds was started in order to help with the demand of young people who would greatly benefit from an assistance dog whether that is through a physical disability, autism, downs syndrome and mental health.

Our goal as an NCS team is to raise money and awareness for this amazing charity so people can benefit by helping to grant them independence and improving the quality of their lives.

Ways we have decided to raise money include: cycling 200 miles, bake sale and face painting etc.
