🐾CAN YOU HELP HEART BROKEN MUM TO BE MAGGIE AND HEAL HER HEART🐾

Early one morning a number of social media posts appeared about a small dog, chasing cars in the road in the middle of the night. This little dog was too scared to be caught and retreated into the darkness to a car park.

The following morning this lonely little dog was spotted again in the car park, simply sat waiting for someone to return.

No one returned.

The local community came together and tried to catch her but she trusted no one so eventually she was trapped and taken into foster.

This little dog was named Maggie and this was just the start of Maggie’s story.

Getting her safe off the roads and into the warmth was the first step. The second step was securing a suitable rescue and Wrinkles have stepped up and offered Maggie a lifeline, however…

Not only was Maggie used, abused and simply discarded, she was dumped with a broken leg and is pregnant. She’s estimated to be only 18 months old.

A callous act on such a vulnerable little dog.

The news broke many hearts all over again and after multiple vet consultations it was considered in Maggie’s best interests to continue with the pregnancy, she was too far gone and is due very soon.

Wrinkles have stepped up, but Maggie and Wrinkles need help.

Not only was she discarded like a piece of rubbish, she was done so on a busy road with no regard for her welfare at a time when rescues are bursting and many are struggling to save souls like Maggie. Wrinkles are now face a daunting time but their commitment to Maggie and her welfare is steadfast.

She deserves a chance but she needs help and the vet assessment is as follows;

❤️‍🩹Stomach Scan, confirmed she is pregnant

❤️‍🩹Leg CT scan to assess the break and plan for the leg to be saved. This alone is £4,000.

❤️‍🩹Entropion surgery for both eyes

❤️‍🩹Vaccinating

❤️‍🩹Worm and flea treatment

❤️‍🩹Microchipping

❤️‍🩹Spaying

❤️‍🩹Specialist equipment, food, treatment and everything else for her babies when they arrive. They will all need care and equipment to help them, then there will be vaccinations etc for them all.

This amount is daunting and times are hard for everyone. Maggie has touched many hearts and after such a cruel start to life, she is still a very forgiving and trusting little girl and we hope the communities can pull together again to help Maggie. To ensure Maggie gets what she needs, help secure her future and take the pressure off the rescue. Who cancelled their holiday to take Maggie under their wings!

If Wrinkles Rescue hadn’t stepped up to help her, we really don’t know where she’d be, if at all still with us!
