Meet Ted Spencer, who is currently 10 years old. We are raising money to buy a vital and important bit of equipment to help this young man. The bit of equipment we need to buy is a Telemetric Cranial Monitor and reader. At the moment in Bristol Children's Hospital where Ted is a patient, there is only ONE of these important bits of equipment, meaning that the patient has to be admitted to hospital to be monitored. When we reach the target and order Ted's, he will be able to wear it at home 24/7 to identify exactly what brain surgery may be required and whilst being able to lead a normal a life as possible, playing football, swimming or even chilling watching a film in his own home, pain free. When Ted has finished with this item it will be donated to Ward 38A where it will continue to save lives and help children which is invaluable.
The MPR1 Data Logger and reader is £11,800, the manufacturer has waived the VAT and shipping costs which has drastically reduced the money needed to be raised. Thanks to Delta Surgical Limited
Obviously this is still a big sum, but through my "Daz's Rock 4 Charity" and my wonderful team of helpers, volunteers, musicians, crew and supporters we have raised over £400,000 in 10 years, so have taken on this task to get Ted's monitor.
