Jack has been diagnosed with the canine version of ALS (the ice bucket challenge), called Degenerative Myelopathy. This neurological disease means his nerves will slowly cease to function, starting with his back legs. Over time Jack will become paralysed.
To delay the symptoms Jack needs intensive physiotherapy. His insurance is refusing to cover any of the cost for this as it is not a cure but ongoing treatment.
The physio will cost £650/month and we're trying to raise half the funds for the first 12 months.
Jack was rescued off the street as a puppy in Honduras 11 years ago and has brought his own unique brand of doggie happiness all over the world ever since. It is so sad to see him slowly going as he has been given a clean bill of health in every other way.
