What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

Story

Welcome to Jack’s Fundraising Page.

Update: the family have learnt today that after his radiotherapy they will start immunotherapy which is the standard treatment on the NHS. They think due to his high risk neuroblastoma there is an antibody treatment that would be better. However, it is not funded by the NHS and no child has been accepted by NHS England for funding so it has been either sponsored or privately funded. This treatment is likely to cost in excess of £250,000!.

Incredibly it is standard in the US. As you can imagine the family now want to try and raise the funds to give Jack the best possible chance of ridding his little body of this horrible cancer.

Presently their only option is to have the standard treatment where there is a 60% chance of cancer returning compared to 10 percent with the antibody treatment.

Please please please donate and share.

In August 2017 a few days after his 4th birthday, Jack was diagnosed with Stage 4 Neuroblastoma, an aggressive cancer which mainly affects children under the age of 5. This fundraiser is first and foremost to provide financial support to Jack's family at a time where they face uncertainty due to being signed off work for the foreseeable future. Part of our target covers everyday costs for the family including but not limited to covering his mum Katie’s earnings while she is unable to work, paying bills, transportation costs etc. Anything you can donate will make such a difference to the family right now. As they focus on looking after Jack we would like to take away any worries they have about money.

I’ve set an ambitious target so that should a miracle happen and other treatment be proposed which could involve travelling to another country, then the funds will already be coming in. Please share far and wide so that we can raise as much as possible in the next 30-90 days. Should that treatment option not be necessary and treatment continues in the UK, the money we raise here could be used for a dream holiday to Disney for Jack and his brother Thomas to look forward to. Thinking big... the money will also support him with his ongoing needs and follow ups in the coming years.

We all have such power in our social networks to massively increase our fundraising so please share this far and wide to raise as much as possible to help Jack and his family at this dreadful and exhausting time.

I’m a fellow Charlton fan who’s been following little Jack’s story from updates his Dad Grant has shared. It’s heartbreaking and the football community wants to come together to support the family at this difficult time.
