In Cumbria there is a vast grass roots music scene building, full of so much talent and promise. At the moment no one outside of Cumbria, never mind inside, is aware of this talent and the music scene that we have to offer. As well as being a idillic county with the lake district on our doorstep, we have so many talented artists to match the landscape that surrounds us. Jam on Toast came about after seeing all of our friends move to bigger cities, to pursue music, as there was 'nothing for them in Cumbria' or 'wouldn't make it around here'.

We want to be able to showcase the local talent whether that be through recording, producing and distributing their music or putting on live gigs in and around cumbria. We want utilise local venues, promoters, artists and create a connected music community and network.

We have thus far self-funded all of our projects and have gotten this far (using our pocket money from when we were 8 - absolutely raking it in with our £3 a week). To move to the next step we need some extra funds to make sure we can carry on what are doing and grow what have now into a fully-fledged label to support local musicians and artists in Cumbria. We have set a target of £5000 (we know this sounds a lot but sadly this doesn’t go very far). We need this money to be able to book local venues, book artists, subsidise artist training, cover recording costs, and distribution. We also need to buy equipment which will help to do this easier, more efficiently and produce the highest quality content that we can.
