I've raised £2000 to help Jay afford to live during the NYT REP Company 2018

THEWHO: My name is Jay and I am from Lancaster in Lancashire. After spending 21 years worth of eduction from Arkholme Primary School to the University of Cumbria, I eventually escaped the Shire in 2013 to continue the dream of becoming an Actor. I became a member of the National Youth Theatre in 2012 and have since joined them on many projects including Rebecca Lenkiewicz's critically acclaimed adaptation of William Shakespeare's The Tempest, in which I played Ferdinand. For the past 5 years, I have been working on the side to supplement my Art and I have finally have a chance to dedicate my whole attention to it...with your help!
THEWHAT: I have recently been accepted as one of 16 Actors out of 1,000 auditionees through 4 rounds of auditions to be a part of the National Youth Theatre REP Company 2018. Inspired by the traditional Repertory theatre model, the NYT REP Company course offers free, practical, industry-based talent development in drama and performance over 9 months to 16 NYT members leading up to a 10 week run of 3 productions in London's West End. The REP will be based at The National Youth Theatre in Holloway Road, London.
As good a way into the business of acting as any drama school. - Ian McKellen
THEWHY: The REP is FREE which is amazing! However, due to the full-time nature of the course, I will not be able to have a job on the side. Therefore I need to raise money in order to afford to live during it.
THEWORKINGS: Rent: £490 (monthly) x 9 (months) = £4,410. Travel: Zones 1-3 (monthly) = £15.60 x 9 (months) = £1,382.40. Food & Drink: £45 (per week) x 4 = £160 x 9 (months) = £1,440. TOTAL: £7,232.40 I have set a realistic target of £3,000. This would somewhat lighten the heavy load I am currently bearing.
THESELL: I have been auditioning for the REP Company since 2015, having got to the final round of auditions every year. Having finally been accepted into the prestigious NYT REP Company, I filled with excitement and passion to get cracking with this next chapter! Any amount (no matter how small) will help me be fully focused on the task at hand and not have to worry about unnecessary stress.
So in advance, allow me to say THANK YOU!
Jay
