Story

Jodie is a 17 year old girl who has Cerebral Palsy, she cannot sit or stand unaided and she cannot walk. Jodie is a funny, outgoing young lady and is trying to become as independent as she possibly can but the powered wheelchair she is in from the NHS prohibits her from doing a lot of things. She’d like to be able to cook for herself or even make a cup of tea on her own! Jodie gets very uncomfortable sitting in the same position all day long. She recently trialled a new ‘Sit to Stand’ wheelchair which is motorised to raise her from a sitting position right up into a standing position, this gives her a lot more ability to do every day tasks as well as giving her body a good stretch. The chair also lies back and it drives in any position. Stephen Hawkings actually used this same chair so it must be the best on the market! Unfortunately it comes wirh a very hefty price tag of £27,929 which seems unreachable, but jodie is hoping if everyone could help her out with a small donation then anything is possible... thanks for taking the time to read this.
