I'm raising £2,200 for my sweet lil bulldog, Molly, to be able to have some serious facial surgery.

Molly is a rescue dog, who, sadly, came to me after being dumped due to no longer being good for breeding. She’s a sweet, fearful lil girl, who has been through a lot in her 5 short years.

The worst thing for her, though, is her breed. Being a bulldog, bred as a “pocket bulldog”, a cross between French and British bulldogs, to create a smaller, compact dog, as with both breeds, she struggles with BOAS, brachycephalic obstructive airway syndrome. Basically, her face is just too short, and she struggles to breathe. And it’s not just struggle; Molly has tried to die on us twice already in the year and a half she’s lived with me. The first time, she was also struggling with an anaphylactic reaction, but this was super quick to develop as her face is already so difficult, and the second time, she was struggling with a small infection according to her bloodwork, which caused her to overheat, and her inability to breathe efficiently meant she overheated, and started to have a seizure.

Molly is a wonderful dog who deserves the best, but sadly, because of the situation in which she came to live with us, I was unable to get insurance for her before these issues started. As such, I now need to raise the funds myself. I’ve found a veterinary hospital whom cover BOAS surgery and relevant scans under a guaranteed price promise, of £2000. I want to raise an extra £200 just to ensure any hospitalisation fees or extra medication is also covered.
