Hi, my granddaughter Lily is currently studying at Plymouth High School For Girls. She is acting as an ambassador on behalf of her school and the UK to an educational visit to help children in Ghana who are deprived and currently struggling. The school is called Ahantaman Senior High School. Lily is working to help raise money for her trip which is self-funding. The trip is taking place in July 2019. We are fundraising for equipment such as stationery, clothing, footwear and basic medicines. She will be leading classroom lessons to highlight the importance of healthy eating, exercise, sports, art and craft programs and many other activities whilst also learning the Ghanaian Culture. On the trip she will be staying in the boarding school unit with her Ghanaian peers, where their day will start at 4am. Also they will be attending official meetings in Ghana as well as more official meeting when they arrive back to the UK, for an example: Rotary Club, Lions Club etc. The total cost of this trip is £1,200 and any donation however small or large will be greatly appreciated.
