I've raised £2000 to help fund a DENTAL ROOM at the MOUNTAIN PEOPLE CENTRE outside KATHMANDU

I have tried doing check ups using a plastic chair, it is a nightmare, after the first 10 my back was killing me. A proper dental chair would make such a difference and allow some basic dentistry to be done, not, just check ups and extractions.
What an amazing difference a real dental chair and basic facilities could make
So where is the dental room going to be, about 20 minutes from Kathmandu in Goldhuga. Many of the people in his area are from the Dalit and squatter communities. The building was built buy raising funds through buy a brick sponsorship. In the building are a classroom where a homework club runs with a teacher to help and around 60-90 kids. There is a sewing room, where skills can be taught but more importantly, women's sanitary products can be made and then distributed. These reuseable pads are allowing women to stay at school and work when they would othewise have to stay home, there is no money here for what we think of as basic products. The dental room will allow up to 2000 people to have dental care. Once the room is in place, initially a visiting dentist will come in and do basic work, there will also be health camps with visiting groups. Funds will then be raised to have a full time member of staff working here. Outside the centre crop is grown which is distributed locally.
