Here in Doha people move in and out of the city as their work demands. This means that sometimes people don't have time to arrange for their pets to move with them. We have fallen in love with this delightful young cat, Lulu - can't call her a kitten as two weeks after meeting her she had kittens of her own. Lulu is obviously an abandoned pet as she is remarkable friendly and shows no aptitude for finding food by herself. We have been buying regular cat food and feeding her and the staff here at our hotel have been amazing, providing water, milk and chicken wings to help feed her up. But Lulu is small and can't fight off the other cats who come to take her food.
Lulu simply needs help. Her eye is very diseased and needs urgent surgery (our second task) but first we need to find her kittens and move this family to a vets. Ultimately we would like to get her back to the UK or USA where we know someone will fall in love with her just as we have and give her that forever home she needs. All this takes time which we will make and money - that's where you all come in. Just a small donation from a lot of people and we can all sleep well knowing we have helped to do an amazing thing for a vulnerable creature.
