Iʼve raised £590 to Save our Dad from Oesophageal Cancer

Story
Cancer now hits 1 in 2 people, therefore at some point we are all destined to have a loved one with this horrendous disease. Unfortunately, our Dad, Richard has stage 4 oesophageal cancer and there is no curative treatment available to him in the U.K.
We are a close knit family who have been hit incredibly hard by the news that we could lose our dad and our mum lose her much loved husband We are so proud to see how strong he has been with the news and his determination to battle this terrible disease is an inspiration. However we want our dad to see us get married and embarrass us with a soppy speech; we want him to hold his grand children and have the chance to enjoy the later years of his life, growing old with our mum, Dehlia, before it is cut too short.
Dad is determined to 'beat it' and is following a strict alkaline diet to attempt to stop the spread. However he is desperately in need of intensive Immunotherapy treatment, a revolutionary new treatment that has shown an 80% success rate in even the most terminally ill subjects. The treatment is unfortunately only available outside the U.K and at great cost.
The therapy is for 12 months using a combination of treatments some in clinic and some from home.
We are looking to raise £120,000 over the next 12 months and will be organising various charity events along the way which we hope you will be part of.
HOW YOU CAN HELP US
- By donating on our just giving page any amount you are able
- By sharing this with as many friends and colleagues and asking them to share it also to spread the word
- By organising a fundraising event for Richard to help boost proceeds.
- Any other ideas are extremely welcome.
