Story
Earlier this year my nephew was born with water on his lungs. Sounds simple, but this was such an emotional time for the family, and I genuinely believe that until you've been in that position you can't begin to imagine the emotion involved, and I was 'just' an Aunty! Raife spent the first month of his life in hospital and during this time the love and support shown from the hospital staff to my family was immense, and we want to show our appreciation by raising funds for the unit, giving them the opportunity to help more babies, and more families in similar circumstances. Shane has already raised in excess of £500 and we are extremely grateful for all donations, but with only 4 weeks to go before we run the Great West Run (half marathon incidentally!), we would love to raise a further £500. Anything that you are able to donate (however small) is much appreciated by us and the unit. Thank you.

When it comes to crowd funding I'm simply an Aunty of the happiest child I've known, (most of the time!) who had a tough (and worrying) start in life. I'm a professional that likes to keep fit and help good causes, and this is very close to my heart!
