Story
Please help us mend Shadow's broken leg. Shadow was found locally and taken to Whitby Dog Rescue. He is microchipped but the owner's details have not been updated. Shadow is a lovely dog but has a compound fracture in his right front leg.
He also has a fractured jaw. Legally we cannot operate on him until Friday. The operation will cost £3,500; the charity cannot afford this, but want to try and save Shadow's leg, rather than opt for the cheaper option of amputation, as he is a young dog and has a lovely temperament. Can you help?

6 years agoHello everyone! First of all thank you for your amazing support! Shadow left this morning to the specialist referral hospital for his operation, we will keep you all updated on his progress as we receive news! If any of you are puzzled as to why the number on the page has changed over recent days, some local charities have stepped forward to bridge the gap in finance to help pay for his treatment, hence us lowering the target goal (as we have now hit it!) Thank you all ever so much for giving this little guy every chance in the world!

I keep damaging my front legs and paws, hurtling through the woods — I've needed a lot of stitches this year, but that's nothing to what Shadow needs. I hope this helps.
