Story

In August 2017, just a couple of weeks before he was due to collect his A’level results, Morgan fell suddenly ill and was later diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic lymphoma. At that point I set up a fundraising page to help the family with the costs of living in and around a hospital and supporting Morgan through his treatment and recovery. The family were overwhelmed with the generosity and it is crazy how much it costs to take 140 mile round trips for treatment and accomodation when Morgan has needed to be nearer to the hospital.

morgan finished his last phase of intensive treatment a few days ago and was being prepared for 2 years of maintenance treatment ahead when he suffered a suspected stroke. It is now thought that this is a rare reaction from the chemotherapy that has caused stroke-like symptoms which I know has been and continues to be terrifying for Morgan and his family.

To make matters worse, Morgan’s Mum, Gemma, struggles day to day with her own health and has taken a turn for the worse which has affected her mobility and she is unable to drive which has increased costs further.

Morgan and his family really need our help again and at the moment it is not clear what support he is going to need whilst managing this reaction to the chemo.

I am not asking people to give a lot, just what you can, every pound will help more than you might realise.

All money will go directly from justgiving to Gemma.
