Story
I was very fortunate to have had a boss who paid for my flight home with Jerry's chartered Malaysian Airlines flight to the UK last week, after spending thousands on cancelled flights, one even recommended by the British Embassy at $1500, to be later cancelled that night.
With my phone stolen and cash, the Cambodian people were lovely, reduced my accommodation price and fed and watered me often in their own homes.
There are still many UK citizens out there in Cambodia with nothing left, the flights available were at £4000 one way, and expected to afford that? Some left do not even have funds to eat or to have safe accommodation.
Also fortunate to have a contact in parliament who is writing a report this week for a parliamentary magazine, I have received a personal phone call from an MP regarding the situation in Cambodia for us, but people still need help.
Any funds raised can go to support the UK people stuck in Cambodia, even something to be able to eat, have a roof over your head, pay for transport to Phnom Penh or a tuktuk to the airport for when there will be a flight.
Any help will be greatly appreciated for those still out there.
And thank you, thank you to Jerry and his wife, my boss George from SCOTVAX, the MP Ian Blackford and Ailean Beaton.
