Hello and welcome to my page,

I am raising money to donate to a local charity near me. The charity works with disabled kids and adults by running various groups and the also run a day/night care centre for them which involves trips away, playing games and they also run bingo nights, fun days out for the kids and cookery courses for the adults. They have made a huge change to people i know and have helped them in more ways than i could begin to explain but the charity is struggling and is on the verge of not lasting too much longer as the funds just arent available anymore. There are volunteers who work very hard and only have two members of staff who take minimum wage to keep costs down.

The funds will go to funding the days out, the prizes for games, fixtures around the centre such as flooring and painting of the centre and keeping the gardens maintained. The funds cover other things such as food and drink that is provided to the kids/adults who are attend, the things needed for the cookery course such as utensils, ingredients and so on and it will also provide help towards more equipment to help moving the kids and adults who attend that are in wheelchairs to put things such as ramps and toilet supports in place.

I am hoping to raise the funds within 1 month and i will also be doing a fund raising hair cut and will be donating the hair to a charity that works with cancer survivors.

These kids and adults are absolutely outstanding and they rely on the support of the centre as for some it is the only outside contact with other people in a safe environment they receive. The difference the centre makes to their lives is beyond explanation and it has hugely helped a close family member of mine who would be soul destroyed to loose the centre.

Anything helps and we would be forever greatful for any donation, small or large.
