Story

SAVE UTIBEABASI FROM BRAIN TUMOUR

Utibe Abasi Mfon Obong Joshua was born on October 2012. He is from Eket Local Government in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria, located in western Africa. About 3 and half years ago, he developed a body weakness, tilting to the right or deviating to the right side.

In 2015, Utibe Abasi was diagnosed of Brain Tumour and the parent couldn't afford money for the surgery and for the past 2 years he has been bedridden. He cannot talk or walk on his own. He is been carried around and everything is done for him. Very unfortunate, both parent don't have a Job.

Utibe Abasi Mfonobong Joshua suffers restlessness, inability to sleep and poor language development. And when the Doctor reviewed him on the 1st of May 2018, he saw a child who was exhibiting abnormal behaviors, restless, urinating about, difficult to calm down, hyperactive and smiling to self.

Further history reveals that Utibeabasi has been bedridden 2 years ago, with urinary and faecal incontinence, poor language development. After an initial 3 year period of normal development tymite stones, there is a sequelae of blindness from both eyes. Obviously, the mass may have been compressed on the optic asma.

But both review poorly defined, moderate sized, heterogeneous mass was 60 components on T2weighted images located in the lower border of the pons, which extent into the inferior margin fourth ventricle. The lateral and third ventricles were dilated; foramina of Monroe and aqueduct of Sylvia are prominent. There is mild to moderate thinning of the cortical mantle.

The psychiatrist have given (Pills) that will calm him down, reduce the aggression of hyperactivity and abnormal behaviours.

As the doctor advised, it is very urgent that this surgery be carried out before September 2018, so that he will get back to life. If the tumour spread to the brain, it will cause more damage than it has already done. And as you can see, he is not seeing, he can’t walk very well. Infact he is blind. But by the special grace of God if the Surgery is done, he will be able to see, walk and start school.

The pains, the stress and the trauma we have been going through for the past 4 years is definitely untold. We are appealing to the world to please assist us financially. We are seeking for any possible help, which seems to be the only opportunity for Utibeabasi. Our financial situation is currently unbearable and we cannot afford medical expenses. So any help or information about charitable medical organizations and possible financial support will be highly appreciated. To find more possible help from the kind people all over the world, we hope this message could be spread out.

Thank you for every penny you will lend out for Utibeabasi.

God bless you!
