Whizzy is only 2 years old and has damaged his leg running about on a walk. A bone in one of his joints has come out of alignment and he needs an operation to screw it back in place. At the moment his leg is bandaged and he is on painkillers. His owner is in hospital and I have been looking after him and taking him to visit til she gets home again. When I took Whizzy to the vet it was discovered that her pet cover had expired and the pet org that provided emergency cover in her area no longer did so anyway. The cost of the operation is estimated to be around 1500 the only other option was amputation which at only 2 years old and a very happy busy little chap we dont think is the best option and would like to try to meet the cost of saving his leg.
