Hearsay & claims that the fairground car park in Helston was intended for local use & should remain free.

The only way I can see of taking this forward is by looking into the historic Land Registry records & any covenants attached to the land. However, obtaining those documents will cost a minimum of £117.97 from the Land Registry.

Whilst many people may feel it’s great that the payment machines have been vandalised, the reality is that it’ll only end up costing us, the taxpayer, even more money through repairs, replacements & increased maintenance costs.

Would you be willing to contribute towards the cost of obtaining the Land Registry documents so we can establish exactly what restrictions, if any, exist on the land?

If more money is raised than is needed to obtain the documents, I propose that any surplus funds are donated to the South Kerrier Alliance, which manages Coronation Park & the boating lake for the benefit of the community.
