Story
"Clean Air for Henley's "No Idling" campaign aims to encourage drivers to turn off their engines whenever stationary - particularly outside schools.
Fund raising since the beginning of the year plus a generous grant from Henley Town Council has allowed us to print leaflets, purchase safety jackets, arrange professional training and buy a playground game to get pupils involved.
"Clean Air for Henley" has recently designed, printed and distributed a lealfet to every Henley household with information about air pollution - particularly the very damaging smallest particulates.
"Clean Air for Henley" has also visited all the town's retail businesses and encouraged them to "Close the Door" to keep pollution at bay for the benefit of their staff and customers. Look for the notices on doors when you are next in the town.
"Clean Air for Henley" has volunteers standing poised. We just need to give them the materials they need to be effective.
"Clean Air for Henley" is part of Henley in Transition.
