UPDATE :::

Wow 😭! Thank you all so much for your kind donations your generosity is simply overwhelming! we’ve hit target in under 24 hours, everyone has shown so much love and support for our very special little H your all amazing! let’s keep going and raise as much money as we can to cover expensizes! It will help cover petrol (they have to travel to Southampton every week for treatment), loss of earnings and also lots more special days out for Henly which they can all enjoy together as a family 🧡 Thankyou all so much it honestly means the world. 💙💙💙

On the 22nd June 2020 my best friend Lisa took her Son Henly to the doctors as he had been feeling lethargic for two weeks with a reduced appetite.

Doctors then sent Henly straight to the hospital for blood tests as they was extremely concerned, 4 hours later when the blood test results came through Lisa was told every parents worst nightmare… Henly has Leukaemia.

Over the last few months, Henly has undergone Surgery to the brain, insertion and removal of a PICC line, blood transfusions, lumber punctures, Chemotherapy (an intense 3.5 year treatment period to make him better) and steroids.

Although this has been extremely traumatic for Henly, he continues to simply get on with it with a smile on his face. The way Henly sees it is his blood cells are like bubbles and at the moment they are black bubbles, he needs the medicine to make them rainbow bubbles again.

As you can imagine this is extremely hard for Lisa and Dean. Trying to cope with this amid an unprecedented pandemic means that they have to shield as much as possible. Orla (Henly’s sister) cannot attend nursery and Henly can only attend school for a few hours a week depending on how he is feeling.

At any time, they may have to rush Henly to hospital with a high temperature as this could mean that there is an infection and it has to be dealt with immediate effect due to neutropenia. Throughout all of this Lisa and Dean have remained strong, determined parents to support their son.

This go fund me page is make Henly’s dream come true and get him to Disney Land when he is able to go. Any donations will be much appreciated. Thank you all so much for your kind generosity, it really does mean the world to Henly and his family.
