Story

I have a 2 year old and I cannot imagine what it must feel like as a mother to look over and see that without warning your child has gone blue, has stopped breathing, and could be dying infront of you.

To be driving down a motorway merrily singing tunes, only to look in the rear view mirror 5 mins later and see your baby limp and blue. To have to pull over on the hard shoulder and resusitate your baby with motorway traffic bellowing beside you, praying that she pulls through.

To have her stop breathing at home only to rush to the doctor’s surgery to find that no one knows how to take the defibrillator off the wall, and knowing that for each crucial second that passes, that your baby is fighting for her life.

Over the past few months this has been the daily life of one of my dearest friends Nic.

They haven‘t been able to diagnose whats causing Farleigh to suddenly stop breathing and until they do, the above carries on to be a living nightmare for Nic and her precious family. Farleigh without any notice or warning, can stop breathing just like that.

Having a defibrillator at home will allow Nic to be able to start Farleigh’s heart if she stops breathing and possibly give the family some limited freedom to do things that we take for granted, like a car journey, without being terrified about something happening and being stuck and desperate waiting for help to come.

Please help me to raise £1800 so we can give Farleigh access to this incredible live saving device.
