As most of you know we have a 4 year old Horse and Pony loving little boy called Henry. Henry has been totally obsessed with horses and ponies since he was 2 years old, we have no idea why this craze started as we don't own a horse or pony and never actively promoted this horse obsession (although we now have hundreds of horse figures and toys in the house).

Henry and his sister Jessica both sponsor a horse at Only Foals and Horses. Henry sponsors Trigger and Jessica sponsors Solamon.

Only Foals and Horses is a horse sanctuary in Oswaldtwistle. They care for horses and ponies who have been abused, neglected or deserted. Henry himself will tell you the story about Trigger 'his' Shetland Pony that was "left on the motorway on his own, tied to a barrel (barrier) without his mum or dad!" We visit quite a bit (even though it's a 40 minute drive) to see all of the ponies and horses and Henry and Jessica are able to groom and walk 'their' ponies with the help of the amazing volunteers. We love going and spending time there (and having a cheeky cake and cup of coffee/juice in the cafè). The horses and ponies are well cared for and love being visited by everybody, we would totally recommend you taking a trip!

Only Foals and horses like many other charities is non-profit making and relies on volunteers and donations. During these unprecedented times the charity like many others, is struggling with donations and Henry, Jessica and myself would like to help them.

Henry and Jessica are going to do a 4 mile walk to raise money for the sanctuary (even Henry with his 'little legs')
