We are trying to raise £2000.00 to fund Henry Smith the Country and Western Singer‘s treatment for Spasmodic Dysphonia, we want to get him back doing what he does best entertaining us all with his singing!

Henry has sung all over the UK, hes travelled to Europe and parts of the USA with his band. Henry has entertained thousands over the years, he’s the only singer we know who could sing the Auctioneer so fast! Look him up on Youtube and you can listen to him yourself.

4 years ago Henry first noticed a problem with his voice as he was not able to hit some of the notes while he was on stage singing, this then progressed to the odd word that just wouldnt come out of his mouth. Soon talking then became a problem, he couldnt call the dog or shout anything, it was a real strain to just talk and then his voice just went completely. It’s now been 3 long devastating years for Henry not being able to do what he loved best, entertaining people with his singing, telling his whitty jokes and talking to his fans.

So far Henry has recieved treatment via the NHS - hes been hypnotised and sent for botox injections on both sides of the larynx. The first set of botox injections allowed Henry to talk but unfortunatley its success was short lived and after 4 weeks Henry could no longer talk. The second set of botox injections allowed Henry to start to try and sing although a little hoarse but brutally 4 days later he lost his voice completely again.

Not being able to talk and sing has taken its toll on Henry, without being able to entertain or just talk to friends and family, he feels like he has died. His family, friends and fans are trying to support him but they all feel helpless as they cannot help him with getting his voice back ......or so they thought! We have done some research and found a private speacialist based in London, who has a very high success rate in dealing with people with Spasmodic Dysphonia by helping them get their voice back!

This may be the last chance we have to try and get Henry back on that stage entertaining again!

Please if every one of Henry’s fans could give a couple of pounds to get him the treatment that may bring his voice back, in 12 months time we could be sat in a clubhouse or at a festival listening to him and his band again!

Henry has a consultation booked with the speacialist on Monday 19th October so hopefully we will be able to update you further on what his treatment plan will look like and the final costs involved.
